Have a Happy and Blessed 2009!
As every other year, 2009 changed the previous one. We exchanged wishes and kisses, we emptied the New Year’s Eve table, we did the fireworks routine and here we are back in our grey daily round and the struggle for surviving and welfare.
For many Christians, every New Year is an opportunity for a new period of blessings and expectation of bigger and deeper experiences with God.
Is 2009 going to be different than 2008 in a spiritual aspect? I am sure that in every honest heart there is a burning desire to see the Lord and His glory in action in our home and in the Bulgarian nation during this year.

What does it mean to see God’s glory in action in 2009?
This means that the Holy Spirit will come with cleansing strength in the individual Christian, who has already accepted the Savior in his/her heart.
This means a new repentance and change in all routined God’s servants, who are captivated by their “spiritual” engagements and striving for church dominance and prosperity. They have lost their focus on the resurrected Christ and His clear teaching, because it requires a Christ-like life.
To see God’s glory means that hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands people who don’t know Christ to repent for their lives and to commit themselves to God, accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
God in action means that we should see the sick – healed, demons – cast out, the dead – brought back to life, churches – to be established, the Word of Salvation to be preached with power and following this the Holy Spirit will be poured over people and we’ll see miracles accompanying this.
This, dear friends, means a revival in Bulgaria.
As a participant in two spiritual revivals (1977-79 and 1990-1993) dare I challenge you to be part of a prayer for revival in Bulgaria in 2009.
God wants the churches to play their actual part of being God’s ambassadors and to be places where people give their lives to Jesus and get to know Him personally; the servants should actively spread the Good News and along with this, they should find a way to a Christian unity.
The team of Bulgarian Christian Television will do its best to activate and support the process of spiritual awakening and revival among all Bulgarians in our country and abroad.
Do keep in touch with us – share your ideas and give us information for your activeness so that we can broadcast the pulse and the events of the living Christianity. May God bless you and let us strive for revival starting in 2009, and we’ll be witnessing God’s amazing glory!
